The IIoT promises great benefits, but increases our exposure to cyber attacks. The Industrial Internet Consortium Security Framework describes hardware protections as well as software protections for IIoT systems. This presentation shows how the unidirectional gateway hardware described in the framework can be added to any OSIsoft PI System and IIoT site in a variety of industries to protect safe and reliable operations, as well as trade secrets. All software can be hacked - a key decision for every IIoT site is whether software-only protection is enough.
